HCG EZ drops review
The HCG diet is very simple. It might seem like you would need a lot of will power to stick to it, but once you get past the first few days, you don’t get that hungry. Not to mention, when you see the pounds coming off almost EVERY day…the pounds you could not lose after MONTHS of hard dieting and exercise…you will want to do just about anything to continue to see those results. It starts to feel like a JOY and not a burden.
The HCG diet consists of a very low calorie diet of 500 calories of specific foods. I wouldn’t have tried this if I hadn’t seen my friend’s great results. I have done low calorie diets by accident (I tried the raw food diet which consists of fruits and vegetables, and some nuts and seeds-and was not getting enough calories) with bad results-I lost the GOOD fat, slowed down my metabolism, etc. So I told myself, if I felt even the least bit bad on this diet, I would stop.
However, this diet is different than other low calorie diets because even though you are only TAKING IN 500 calories, with the help of the HCG drops you get online from HCG ezDrops you are burning all of that bad fat up-and burning up lots of calories! So, it takes about 3 or 4 days to really get used to this, and psychologically you might miss your favorite foods at first.
This is a great diet though if you do not like to have to exercise. It is in fact, discourage on the hcg ez drops diet. Only moderate exercise like walking or yoga is recommended, if you must work out.
But something happens to your brain around the 3rd or 4th day (maybe up to a week, everyone is different) where you stop craving foods! I remember going to a work conference with free food and feeling disgusted by how much everyone (EVERYONE at the meeting was overweight!) was eating and I did not feel like I was being denied anything. I did NOT miss eating regular foods. I have never had such will power before on a diet.
Before you start the low calorie phase, you get to have some fun! You do two “load days” which include eating as much HIGH fat foods as you can. This is really important so that you have enough fat stores. You don’t want to skimp on this! So, have fun with it! It’s better probably to eat healthy high fat foods like avocado and coconut, but I loaded up on cupcakes, and fast food I actually LOST weight during this phase. Very exciting!
After you get through this you get to have the low calories portion which lasts for a minimum of 23 days, and a maximum of 45 days. The low calorie diet consists of only 500 calories a day of certain meat, veggies, fruits and one carb (Melba toast usually) After awhile I didn’t even want to eat 500 calories BUT you never want to skip the meat (protein) It’s very important even if you aren’t hungry, to eat the protein or you can become deficient.
This diet is not good for the long term, but for a short period of time, I believe it is safe. If you need to do a second round to meet your weight loss goals, you have to wait and allow your body to recover before you can do another round.
I suppose you need to decide how much you need to lose weight? Is a short term low calorie diet more negative to you, or being obese for the rest of your life? Which do you think is going to have more long term damage? I believe,personally, that the body can recover and heal from 23-45 days of low calorie (considering most of us may eat more calories but less nutrients than what you eat on this diet!) dieting better than it can heal from being obese for years. After you finish the low calorie portion, you gradually start adding regular foods in again and you can begin to eat more variety.
I had very little side effects on this diet. I had mild headaches and some fatigue, but this was only in the beginning. I was not tempted to cheat ONCE, but I know people who did and they still maintained an average weight loss of 1-2 lbs a day (with women it tends to average to more like a little less than a lb. a day because of water retention)
All in all, HCG EzDrops was one of the easiest diets to maintain and it really changed my eating habits. I now eat smaller portions, and make better food choices-and I have been done with the diet for 5 weeks now! I have actually maintained my weight and not gained any of the weight back-probably the best part of the diet so far!
